Microlaunch, a bootstrapped launch board for indie software, has grown to about 40,000 visitors a month and is closing in on 700,000 unique visitors, two and a half years after it went live.

Founder Saïd Aitmbarek, a Paris-based former software engineer, shared those milestones on August 11 and August 18. He said traffic started at about 9,000 visitors a month after a March 2024 Product Hunt debut, then climbed into the 30,000-to-40,000 range after two years. The August 18 post put monthly visits above 40,000.

The homepage this week showed 1,225 daily visitors and 171 products listed for the month — a daily pace that lines up with the 40,000 monthly figure. A marketing page last updated in November 2025 still lists 320,000 unique visitors in total and 25,000 unique visitors a month, figures from an earlier stage of the company's growth.

Aitmbarek built Microlaunch as a longer, maker-first alternative to a one-day leaderboard. Products stay up for about 30 days. Idea and product quality are scored separately, so an early concept can be judged on its own before the finished product is scored. Visitors can leave "roasts" as well as praise, and makers collect those comments as testimonials. In January 2026 he switched the board to smaller weekly batches, with winners carrying over from week to week rather than resetting after a single spike.

Founders can also buy a Pro Launch pack, currently $39, limited to 40 spots a month. The pack adds featured placement, extra SEO pages, a backlink, and a slot in a deals marketplace where products can run lifetime or discounted offers. Aitmbarek has described the company as a launch platform that sells distribution packs. Sales, he has said, come mainly from those one-time premiums and sponsorships, not from ads.

He started the project on New Year's Day 2024 and shipped in about a month, according to an Indie Hackers post published before the Product Hunt launch. The aim was not to replace Product Hunt, he wrote, but to give makers a slower venue for feedback and first customers ahead of a bigger launch. Two weeks after going live he had accepted 41 products and drawn about 1,500 unique visitors. The Product Hunt listing that followed drew 944 upvotes.

By November 2024, Aitmbarek said, Microlaunch had taken in more than $10,000 and was making $2,000 to $3,000 a month. He later set a goal of $10,000 in monthly revenue. He previously started Stimpack, a traction toolkit for early-stage founders, and runs Microlaunch from Paris without outside funding. The site is also co-hosting a builder hackathon with payments startup Tiun.

Microlaunch sits among several Product Hunt alternatives built for indie makers. Few of them have a public, two-and-a-half-year traffic record to point to.
