Sotheby's International Realty bought One Sotheby's on Sept. 9, converting the South Florida franchise into a company-owned brokerage. One Sotheby's had about 1,375 agents at the time of the acquisition.
The Real Deal said in a post on X that the purchase adds roughly 1,300 agents and more than 30 offices to the Compass International orbit. Compass completed its acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate in January 2026, bringing Sotheby's International Realty under Compass International Holdings.
One Sotheby's recorded $6.85 billion in 2025 sales across 5,257 transaction sides. The Miami-based franchise has offices along Florida's east coast, plus offices in Princeton and Lambertville, New Jersey. Executive Chair Mayi de la Vega and President and CEO Daniel de la Vega will remain in place.
According to Bounti.ai, Sotheby's International Realty's named competitors in ultra-luxury and international residential brokerage include Christie's International Real Estate and Engel & Völkers, as well as Douglas Elliman, Brown Harris Stevens, Corcoran and Compass. Bounti.ai also says Sotheby's International Realty and Compass share the highest average list price of any major U.S. brokerage, roughly $814,000, while Compass posted 2025 transaction-volume growth of about 64.8 percent year over year on a high-volume Sun Belt strategy and Sotheby's grew about 30.8 percent on a heritage franchise model concentrated in established ultra-luxury markets. In its 50th-anniversary announcement material, Sotheby's International Realty said its network had more than 1,100 offices across 86 countries and territories in 2026, including 45 company-owned brokerage offices.
Sotheby's International Realty also bought TTR Sotheby's International Realty, a Washington, D.C.-area franchise that will become company-owned. Financial terms for the two acquisitions were not disclosed. The purchases follow Sotheby's July 2026 acquisition of Majestic Realty Collective, which included eight subsidiaries.
