More Perfect University said on September 11 that it is launching Rate Your Landlord, describing it in its post as "Rate Your Professor but for Landlords." The student-organizing initiative announced the product in a post on X.

The announcement offers few details on the service itself. More Perfect University did not say whether renters can already submit or view reviews, and the post included no link to a Rate Your Landlord website, blog post or press release.

That leaves the product's immediate role unclear in a category that already includes several landlord-review services. Rate My Professors, the model named in More Perfect University's description, began in May 1999 as TeacherRatings.com before being renamed in 2001.

Landlord-review platforms already include Rate The Landlord, WhoseYourLandlord, OpenIgloo, Rate My Landlord, Grade My Landlord and Marks Out Of Tenancy in the U.K. OpenIgloo focuses on New York City rentals, where users can search listings, read landlord and building reviews, and use rent-stabilization tools. Rate The Landlord, founded in April 2023 in Ontario, lets tenants anonymously rate landlords on repair, health and safety, rental stability, and tenant privacy and respect, and drew about 400 reviews in its first week.

More Perfect University launched in April 2026 as a campus initiative of More Perfect Union, a progressive nonprofit media organization founded in February 2021 by Faiz Shakir. The group was pitched as a progressive alternative to Turning Point USA.

The company announced the news in a post on X on September 11.
