On September 3, 2026, Tibo announced Squad, a service that assigns work to AI teammates and runs it on a schedule, in a post on X. Squad costs $99 a month and comes with a seven-day money-back guarantee and cancel-anytime terms.
Tibo positioned Squad against Grok Bot. He said xAI had released Grok Bot a few weeks earlier, making a large AI lab Squad’s biggest competitor.
Squad uses AI plans that customers already pay for, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and SuperGrok. The company says it does not charge separately for each task because the work runs through those plans. Users can stack accounts so work moves to another plan when one reaches its limit, and they can assign different models to individual teammates.
A Chief of Staff directs each job to the appropriate teammate and can start another teammate when needed, according to Tibo. Squad connects with Gmail, Slack, Notion, GitHub and more than 70 other platforms. It also includes more than 50 research and scraping tools and supports customers’ own MCP servers.
Tibo said customers control each teammate’s access. Each teammate has separate browser sessions and logins, while outbound actions require permission and produce a receipt. Squad’s privacy policy says each workspace operates on a separate virtual machine, with credentials and workspace data kept inside that environment. AI requests go directly to the model provider chosen by the customer.
Bhanu Teja Pachipulusu and his brother Sai Dheeraj Pachipulusu built the underlying system for a year as MissionControlHQ, Tibo said. The group then spent two months improving it. Tibo had paid for MissionControlHQ since May 2026 and is now working with the brothers on product and distribution. Squad lists Bhanu, Dheeraj and Thibault Louis-Lucas as founders, and says MissionControlHQ became Squad in August 2026.
Tibo said he uses Squad as the operating layer for a business generating more than $1 million a month with a small human team. He said one Stripe chargeback workflow increased dispute wins from about 0% to 60%, recovered more than $5,000 that otherwise would have been lost and saved about 10 hours a week.
