FootballGPT has rebuilt its animated-practices feature. Kevin Middleton said in a post on X that he shipped the rebuild yesterday, and that the animated practices "have been rebuilt so the visuals match the session you’d actually run on a pitch."
The feature converts a coach’s written practice description into an animated diagram showing player movement, ball travel and play flow. Users can play, pause and step through the animation, save it to a library and share it by link.
The rebuilt feature is part of FootballGPT Pro. Creating animated practices requires sign-up, and the product offers a $2.99 one-week trial. FootballGPT also has a limited number of free messages per day, while its Pro tier costs $10.99 a month or $99 a year and includes expanded daily messages and unlimited animated practices.
FootballGPT launched on the App Store on February 1, 2026, under the Sports category, with Middleton listed as developer. As of August 12, 2026, the company said it had more than 15,000 users, answered more than 41,000 questions and generated more than 18,000 animated practices. It also said more than 90 clubs worldwide used the product, including staff at Sheffield United, Norwich City, the Swedish FA, the French Football Federation, Brown and Penn State.
Middleton built FootballGPT with 360TFT in partnership with the Football Coaching Academy. The product offers 16 to 18 specialist AI advisors for areas including grassroots youth coaching, professional tactics, goalkeeping, scouting and Football Manager strategy.
