Binance has launched Agent OS, a platform that lets AI agents research markets and place trades on customers' behalf, TechCrunch reports. The system connects popular assistants and coding tools — including OpenAI's ChatGPT and Codex, Anthropic's Claude Code, and Cursor — to the exchange's trading infrastructure, APIs and wallet services, with support for the Model Context Protocol, the emerging standard for wiring AI tools into external systems.

Agents connected through the platform can analyze markets, react to signals and execute strategies such as arbitrage. Through Binance's Agentic Wallet, they can also interact with tokens and DeFi protocols, and an x402 integration lets agents send payments and settle transactions.

The design centers on user-defined control. Each agent operates through a dedicated subaccount configured for specific activity, such as spot or futures trading, and customers choose whether an agent must get sign-off on every order or can act autonomously within its limits. Withdrawals from agent subaccounts are blocked by default, and the platform sets daily caps that include $50,000 for swaps, $100,000 for DeFi transactions and $20 for x402 payments. "We put the power in users' hands," said Jeff Li, Binance's vice president of product, describing the goal as granular access control at the account level.

The launch makes Binance the latest major exchange to open its rails to AI agents this year. Kraken introduced a command-line tool with an MCP server in March, Coinbase released Coinbase for Agents in June, and OKX has enabled agentic trading through its own MCP toolkit — a sign that agent connectivity is fast becoming a standard exchange offering.

Founded in 2017, Binance is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, and Agent OS extends its platform toward a future in which automated, AI-driven strategies operate alongside human traders on the same infrastructure.
