Muhammad Sajeel said in a post on X on Sept. 6, 2026, that AI SDLC Kit had crossed 1,800 combined downloads across PyPI and npm. He attached a screenshot of a download dashboard.
The image labeled the combined all-time total as 1,800, covering PyPI lifetime downloads and npm all-time downloads. It listed 1,313 PyPI downloads excluding mirrors, 5,873 including mirrors and 487 npm downloads.
Registry data matches the split behind the 1,800 total. PyPI Stats counts from July 12 through Sept. 5, 2026, sum to 1,313 downloads without mirrors. The npm downloads API recorded 487 downloads from July 19 through Sept. 6, 2026.
Sajeel said the kit is published on PyPI for Python and npm for Node.js. He described the total as an early milestone.
PyPI lists ai-sdlc-kit 0.2.0 as spec-driven software development lifecycle skills for AI coding agents, including Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and Gemini CLI.
The package installs with pip or npm. Both versions provide the same ai-sdlc command and skills, with the command copying the skills into an agent directory.
PyPI records the first release, version 0.1.0, on July 12, 2026. Version 0.1.6 added the npm package, which was first published July 19. Version 0.1.8 aligned the PyPI and npm versions, while version 0.2.0 redesigned the pipeline with separate plan and test skills. Version 0.2.0 was uploaded to PyPI on Aug. 10.
The documentation lists skills for init, roadmap, plan, spec, test, build, qa, ship, automate, architecture-diagram and mentor. PyPI requires Python 3.9 or later, while npm requires Node.js 18 or later.

PyPI Stats reported 189 downloads in the last month, 16 in the last week and 2 in the last day. npm listed 8 weekly downloads. Those shorter periods were not the basis of the 1,800 combined figure in Sajeel’s post.
