Upsun announced the public launch of Dispatch on September 17, 2026, positioning it as a product for managing human-AI software workflows. Its free tier includes 20 agent-minutes daily without a credit card.
In a post on X, the company said AI has increased individual engineers' coding speed without making teams faster at the same rate. Dispatch puts the workflow at the center, with people and agents working through the same software-development process.
The Dispatch product page says agents run in isolated cloud sandboxes. Teams can require human approval at workflow steps, keep records of prompts, code diffs and approvals, and view costs for each workflow.
Dispatch is model- and stack-agnostic, according to Upsun. It connects with GitHub, GitLab, Linear and Jira, and is intended for engineering, product, design, security and QA teams. Paid plans use usage-based pricing and support customers' own model API keys.
Fabien Potencier, Upsun's Chief Product & Technology Officer, said AI can produce code faster, but coding is only one part of the job. CEO Fred Plais said the technology came from Upsun's own adoption of AI across software development.
Dispatch had been available to an invite-only founding group of design partners from July 1, 2026, after Potencier introduced the product on June 23. Upsun, formerly Platform.sh, was founded in 2015 and describes itself as a B Corporation with more than 290 employees across more than 40 nations, serving more than 6,000 enterprise clients and 16,000 developers globally.
