SandyWP has reached 100 registered users, according to founder Riza Maulana Ardiyanto. Riza announced the figure in a post on X.
SandyWP creates disposable WordPress sandbox installs in seconds, with admin access, for testing plugins, themes and ideas. The service offers a free tier with two active sandboxes and 256MB of storage; paid plans start at $9 a month.
The registration figure differs from the company site's description that SandyWP serves “80+ WordPress professionals.” The two figures use different labels, and the available information does not establish whether they measure the same group of users.
Riza publicly introduced SandyWP around June 24, 2026, after reaching the free-tier usage limits of InstaWP, according to his blog. He described SandyWP as a lower-cost option for creating WordPress sandboxes.
In that account, Riza said SandyWP sandboxes cost roughly $0.50 to $0.70 each, compared with about $2 per site for comparable competitor offerings. InstaWP lists a sandbox and staging tier at $2 per site per month.
Riza is based in Indonesia and has worked in support and engineering roles at WordPress-related companies including PublishPress, aThemes, WPBakery/Visual Composer and Hostinger. SandyWP is among several projects he has built, alongside WP Remote Work, Big Remote Job and WP Help by Riza.
