Ricardo de Zoete announced the launch of VoxEdit Web and MeshEdit in a post on X for the Product Hunt × OpenAI Devs GPT-6 Astra Challenge. The contest required entrants to launch a product using GPT-6 Astra on Product Hunt by September 18, 2026; its top five launches each receive $10,000 in OpenAI API credits and a year of ChatGPT Pro for up to two team members.
The free browser tools target people making Three.js games. De Zoete, who also uses the X handle @ricardodezoete and the username Hammy, said Astra can be prompted through WebMCP to design, rig, animate and export voxel and low-poly assets.
VoxEdit Web is a browser-based studio for voxel game assets. Users can model characters and props, add joints and keyframe animation, then export GLB files or MP4 videos. It uses Three.js for browser rendering and runs entirely client-side.
MeshEdit handles low-poly assets. Its tools support vertex, edge and face editing, character rigging, keyframe animation, imports of .blend, GLB and OBJ files, and exports of optimized GLB files or MP4 previews.
Both products are free in the browser. Their AI-assisted features require a compatible agent and a browser that supports WebMCP, which may carry separate pricing for those agent services. Both were built with GPT-6 Astra and expose editing functions through WebMCP, allowing agents to make changes in the editor while sharing undo history with manual edits.
Its Product Hunt listing describes VoxEdit Web as a web port of VoxEdit, the voxel-editing tool made by The Sandbox. The original tool was built by The Sandbox for creating characters, items and equipment for its blockchain-based metaverse game.
