Mohit Vaswani said on Sept. 9, 2026, that Mohd Danish bought DiskBuddy, the Mac storage app Vaswani launched on Sept. 5. In the post on X, Vaswani described the app as three days old and called the deal his third exit.
Posts before the announcement put several figures around the app. On Sept. 7, Vaswani said DiskBuddy had received a $2,500 offer. On Sept. 8, he asked whether $3,500 was a fair asking price for a Mac app that he said had made $500 in revenue in three days.
DiskBuddy scans a Mac locally to identify large files and duplicates. Its product site says the app can display storage in eight views: folders, sunburst, flame, bubbles, mind map, top sizes, age map and treemap. It also lists a content-based duplicate finder, an uninstaller for apps and leftover files, and a staged cleanup queue.
The site lists a launch price of $5 or ₹299 for the first 100 copies, with 10 remaining. The license requires one payment and no subscription or account. DiskBuddy is a 6.2 MB download for macOS 14 or later, supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs, and runs offline after activation.
Danish, who uses the name “The Micro Startups Guy” on X, called the purchase his fifth successful buy. He directed customers to DiskBuddy at its $5 price and said the app was now in his portfolio. Vaswani said he had viewed Danish as an inspiration in indie hacking before selling him one of his products.
Under a “From the same desk” heading, the DiskBuddy site lists Picker, Piqo and Maillayer. Danish’s X profile lists picker.design, superdevpro.com, piqo.app and maillayer.com.
