Chain Your Mac launched on Product Hunt after maker Ahmed Gagan said in a post on X that he was launching the app there. The launch page showed 4 upvotes, 4 followers and no comments at the time of checking.
The macOS app arranges windows in an endless horizontal strip. Users can move through windows with trackpad swipes, and the app supports stacks. Product Hunt lists it in the Productivity and Menu Bar Apps categories.
Chain Your Mac is sold as a one-time purchase. A single-Mac license carries a $9.99 launch price, compared with a listed regular price of $19.99; bundles extend to 20 Macs for $149.99. The app requires macOS 13 Ventura or later and an Apple silicon Mac, M1 or newer. Intel Macs are unsupported.
The product site says the app is built by Gagan and is Apple-notarized with Developer ID signing. Chain Your Mac is also sold through Gumroad under the seller account shabgagan.
Product Hunt credits Gagan, whose handle is @agaganorgs, as the maker. His Product Hunt bio describes him as an iOS developer, and his profile shows at least six other launches, including RankBull, Humanit, The Swift Kit and The Flutter Kit.
The market includes Rectangle, a free and open-source macOS window-snapping tool with a paid Rectangle Pro version. Another free option, PaperWM.spoon, is a Hammerspoon plugin that uses horizontally scrollable tiling and column stacking.
