World of Indiecraft listed 5,796 indie founders on Sept. 8, one day after Dany said in a post on X that he had shipped the project. He described it as a World of Warcraft-style character sheet for founders.
The site turns lifetime revenue into experience points, represents public figures as gear and includes a quest log for upcoming work. Its public ladder ranks all 5,796 founders first by level and then by item level.
The ladder gives founders a single ranking, while the homepage aggregates revenue, products and achievements. It reported $14,445,464 in tracked monthly recurring revenue across 10,421 products, along with 23,851 achievements earned and a highest level of 60.
The site's rules say none of its figures are self-reported. They come from TrustMRR, which describes itself as a database of verified startup revenues, and World of Indiecraft recomputes them once each night.
TrustMRR says it syncs aggregate metrics through read-only payment-provider APIs and typically refreshes its data hourly. It warns that reconstructed MRR and churn figures can differ from provider dashboards by as much as 30% because providers use different formulas.
World of Indiecraft has 60 levels, with $10 million in lifetime revenue required for Level 60. Each character sheet has 17 equipment slots, one per statistic, and item level is the average of a founder's gear. The site also lists 35 achievements that, once earned, are not revoked.
The first matching rule determines a founder's class. The homepage counted 1,336 Monks, defined as founders with lifetime revenue but no recurring revenue, along with 1,064 Evokers and 954 Adventurers. Adventurer is the starting class for founders without products or earnings.
The project's source code and scoring formula are public under the MIT license. Its repository says character sheets require no account or installation to view. Unclaimed sheets remain marked noindex and use nofollow product links, while claiming through X changes those links to dofollow.
Dany's own sheet lists him as a Level 24 Mage in the France realm, ranked 1,547, with three products. The profile was computed on Sept. 8, 2026.
