Typewise launched its Typewise Nova customer-service operator on Y Combinator’s Launch YC, the company said in a post on X. The company says a first Nova deployment takes about 15 minutes.
Typewise describes Nova as an AI operator that sets up, runs and improves a customer-request system. The launch centers on automating the configuration and ongoing improvement of customer-service workflows while keeping customers responsible for approving changes.
According to Typewise, Nova connects relevant tools, configures agents and workflows, and tests them against prior conversations. It presents errors before anything goes live, and the company says nothing is released without customer approval.
Once operating, Nova identifies recurring questions, complaints and unresolved cases. It then proposes changes to knowledge and workflows, which customers approve before they go live.
Typewise says its platform handles customer-service requests across email, chat, WhatsApp and social channels, and connects with more than 3,500 integrations. The company says the platform has solved more than 10 million tickets and names Galaxus, TUI Cruises, Iveco, DPD, Superhuman and Planzer among its customers.
Y Combinator lists Typewise as founded in 2020 and based in Zürich, Switzerland. It identifies David Eberle as co-founder and CEO, and Janis Berneker as co-founder and CTO. Typewise says it began with a consumer keyboard launched in 2020 that was downloaded by 2 million people before it focused on AI customer-service automation.
TechCrunch reported in August 2022 that Typewise received Y Combinator’s standard $500,000 investment after pivoting to B2B productivity.
