Damjan Dabo launched Itemlist on Uneed on his 31st birthday, according to a post he made on X. The app’s Uneed listing showed 13 upvotes at the time of viewing.
Itemlist is an iOS and iPad app for cataloging home and business inventory. Its Uneed listing says users can map rooms and boxes, scan barcodes, track items lent to others and create records for insurance documentation.
The launch gives Dabo another distribution channel for a product that has been available since its MVP debut in November 2022. The app was originally called Golden Squirrel and was renamed Itemlist in summer 2023, according to its official About page.
The company uses a freemium model. Its free tier supports up to 100 items and 20 containers, while the PRO tier includes unlimited items, location sharing and lending features.
Itemlist’s official About page says the app has a 4.8-star App Store rating from more than 190 ratings and that users track more than 130,000 items through the service. A July 2024 interview with the Fake Mayo newsletter reported that the app had passed 18,000 total downloads and reached roughly $1,000 in monthly revenue outside Black Friday sales.
The app operates alongside inventory tools including Sortly, Encircle and Nest Egg, which address uses such as insurance records, barcode cataloging and shared inventories. Dabo also lists Itemlist alongside smaller apps including QRGenie, BarcodeCraft and Poster Maker, as well as the SaaS tool ReleaseRocket, on his personal site.
