Chay's apps have passed $1,000 in monthly recurring revenue, according to Chay, who posts as @i_am_chayyy. In a post on X, he said it took nine months to reach the figure.
Chay did not identify which apps contribute to the monthly recurring revenue total or provide a revenue breakdown by product, platform or business model.

One app attributed to Chay is FitSaver, which turns workout videos saved from Instagram and TikTok into structured gym routines that users can track. Chay, posting as thisischetan on Indie Hackers, said FitSaver brought in roughly $3,000 during its first four months, with 88 paying subscribers and more than 3,000 workout imports.
He said he built FitSaver solo during after-work and weekend time. The idea came from a tweet asking why there was no Recime for workouts, according to the Indie Hackers post. Chay said Reddit posts, public build updates and features based on direct user feedback were the main sources of growth.
FitSaver was also presented on Hacker News as a tool for turning Instagram and TikTok workout content into gym routines.
A second app attributed to Chay is MovieShelf, a cataloging app for DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD collectors. It lets users scan movie covers and extracts details including title, release year, director, cast, format, audio formats, subtitles, and barcode and technical specifications.
MovieShelf is listed on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
