Clay said Wednesday it raised $115 million in a Series D round that values the company at $7.1 billion. The go-to-market software company announced the financing in a post on X on September 9 and in a blog post by co-founder and chief executive Kareem Amin. Clay said The New York Times first reported the round.
Wellington Management led the financing, Clay said. Sequoia, StepStone, a16z Perennial, Meritech, DST Global, CapitalG, BoxGroup, Boldstart, Bloomberg Beta and Evolution Equity also participated.
More than 17,000 teams build on Clay, the company said, including Anthropic, SpaceXAI, Google, OpenAI, Stripe, Visa and UPS. Clay said 80 percent of the Forbes AI50 use the platform. Amin’s blog post also named ElevenLabs and Siemens as customers and said Clay recorded fourfold revenue growth in 2025.
Clay describes its product as a "self-learning revenue engine" that selects a go-to-market approach and runs it. The company said the platform runs campaigns across email, ads and landing pages, and that it is building agents that learn from each run. Clay’s website says customers can buy data from more than 200 vendors under one contract.
Amin wrote that Clay unifies CRM records, product usage, campaign engagement, calls and emails, then adds outside signals. A team can describe a business goal in plain language and Clay can turn it into a workflow, he wrote.
In 2023, Clay said it introduced the GTM engineer role. It said thousands of GTM engineers now gather in nearly 100 Clay Clubs, from Bangalore to Boston and Lahore to Lisbon. Alongside the raise, Clay said it is launching a $1 million scholarship fund to help more people enter the profession. A company page says the fund will cover tuition at partner GTM academies, with partners still to be announced.
Clay said it will present new Agentic GTM product work at Sculpt on October 8. The conference site lists Sculpt as a one-day gathering on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Pier 48 in San Francisco.
SiliconANGLE identified the business as Clay Labs Inc. and named Varun Anand as co-founder and chief technology officer. It also reported that the $7.1 billion valuation is $2.1 billion higher than at the start of the year.
