Braze reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $227.2 million, up 26.2% from $180.1 million a year earlier, in an earnings release published Sept. 8, 2026. The results cover the quarter ended July 31, 2026.

The company had 2,789 customers in 89 countries at the end of the quarter, compared with 2,422 customers a year earlier. Customers with annual recurring revenue of at least $500,000 increased to 361 from 282.

The growth came from new customers, upsells and renewals, according to Braze. Subscription revenue was $207.7 million, compared with $171.8 million a year earlier. Professional services and other revenue was $19.6 million, up from $8.3 million.

Trailing 12-month dollar-based net retention was 110% across all customers, compared with 108% a year earlier. The rate was 112% among customers with annual recurring revenue of $500,000 or more.

Remaining performance obligations totaled $1,092.5 million as of July 31, 2026, including $691.1 million classified as current.

Braze posted a GAAP operating loss of $18.1 million, compared with a $38.8 million loss a year earlier. Non-GAAP operating income rose to $22.0 million from $6.0 million, while free cash flow increased to $21.7 million from $3.5 million.

GAAP net loss was $0.17 per share, while non-GAAP diluted net income was $0.19 per share. Cash, cash equivalents, restricted cash and marketable securities totaled $413.9 million.

Braze forecast fiscal 2027 revenue of $910 million to $913 million. It projected third-quarter revenue of $229 million to $230 million.

The New York-based company, listed on Nasdaq as BRZE, sells subscriptions to a customer-engagement platform used for cross-channel messaging. Founded in 2011 as Appboy by Bill Magnuson, Jon Hyman and Mark Ghermezian, Braze identifies Adobe, Salesforce, Iterable and Klaviyo as competitors.

The release named Boots Thailand, Chime, David Jones, Foxtel Group and Wilson Sporting Goods among recent new business and customer expansions. Braze is scheduled to host Forge 2026 in Las Vegas from Sept. 28 to 30.

Braze also summarized the results in a Sept. 8 post on X, citing 26% year-over-year revenue growth and more than 2,780 customers in 89 countries.
