About Ramp

Ramp was founded in 2019, is headquartered in New York, and expanded from corporate cards and expense automation into a broader finance platform.[1]

In August 2026, TechCrunch reported that Ramp launched Router, a service for accessing and switching among multiple large-language-model providers through one API.[1]

At launch, Router supported models from OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Minimax, Nvidia, xAI, and Z.ai.[1]

Router can direct traffic to cheaper tiers, select models using up to three customer-selected benchmarks, or reserve frontier models for harder problems.[1]

Ramp had used Router's underlying technology internally for three years and positioned the service alongside its AI token-monitoring and spend-management tools.[1]

At launch, Router was available only in the United States and free through the end of 2026, while customers paid inference providers directly; 2027 pricing had not been announced.[1]
