HubSpot has opened a public beta for Agent CLI, a command-line tool that automates repetitive, bulk, and scheduled work across its customer platform, Small Business Trends reports. Sign-ups are available through HubSpot's knowledge base.
The tool is built to run in the background: teams define tasks once, put them on a schedule, and let the agent consolidate records, generate reports, and surface information automatically — pipeline intelligence, for example, arriving before anyone asks for it. Agent CLI operates inside developer environments including Codex, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork, bringing CRM automation into the same tools technical teams already work in. The beta ships with oversight features — user-level permission settings and the option to review an agent's proposed actions before they are applied — and HubSpot has said access controls sit high on the product roadmap, a point customer Matthew Ruxton of Ignite Reading called genuinely reassuring.
Early users pointed to concrete results. EnergySage used Agent CLI to consolidate 504 compliance tickets into 155 parent records in a single day — work that principal HubSpot architect Jackie Mula said "transformed a highly manual process into a streamlined workflow." At Riverside Insights, senior revenue operations manager Shashank Condoor said that "instead of manually pulling pipeline reports, HubSpot Agent CLI lets us schedule that intelligence to surface automatically," so sales reps "walk in with the answers already waiting." Chad Sideris, a director at Triage, said the tool "delivers more consistent results while consuming fewer tokens" than comparable options.
The launch fits a pattern HubSpot has documented across its user base: company data shows 67% of marketers who use AI save more than 10 hours a week.
Founded in 2006 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, HubSpot built its name on inbound marketing software and has since grown into a full customer platform spanning marketing, sales, and service — one it has been steadily extending with AI agents and automation for teams of every size.
