HubSpot co-founder and chief technology officer Dharmesh Shah has soft-launched [YouSpot](https://youspot.com), an AI-native customer-relationship tool built for people who run a company alone. Shah announced the product on X late last week and has been answering questions in public as sign-ups arrive.

YouSpot is not a HubSpot spin-out in the usual sense. Shah described it as a solo CRM: software that pulls email and other connected accounts into a working record of customers, then uses that context as a second brain. The site markets the product as something that builds itself once accounts are connected.

Shah was unusually explicit about who should stay away. He said teams with marketing and sales departments should buy [HubSpot](https://www.hubspot.com). Ecommerce stores, venture-backed startups that already qualify for HubSpot for Startups, people who want a local open-source install, and anyone managing family life rather than a business are also outside the target. The remaining audience is a one-person firm that sells high-consideration B2B work and is willing to connect Gmail and similar systems.

Pricing is designed to get a small paid cohort quickly. A free private beta has a waitlist. Users can skip the line for $1 a month, a price Shah said applies to the first 1,000 paying customers. By Friday afternoon he reported 547 of those slots taken. Over the weekend he posted that demand had created a backlog and that he was working through access delays.

The launch is a notable product experiment from one of the best-known operators in marketing software. HubSpot already sells CRM suites to growing companies. YouSpot tests whether a much smaller, AI-first tool can serve founders who do not want a full go-to-market stack. Shah said he is building the product in public and invited questions on X.

There are limits. YouSpot still depends on third-party account connections, and Shah acknowledged that some people will refuse to hand over email. The $1 price is an introductory cap, not a permanent plan. And a one-person CRM lives or dies on whether it actually reduces follow-up work rather than adding another inbox to check.

Even so, a HubSpot co-founder shipping a narrowly scoped CRM is a useful signal. A large share of new software companies now have a single operator. Shah is betting that group needs something closer to a personal operating system than a multi-seat sales platform.
