# Superpower joins Sequoia's employee benefits

[Superpower](https://superpower.com) has become an employee health benefit for Sequoia's more than 800 employees, with availability extending to eligible employers across Sequoia's network of more than 2,500 companies. A release says the partnership could reach more than 2,500 businesses and 600,000 employees through Sequoia's benefits business.

Superpower CEO Max Marchione announced the arrangement in a post on X, saying Sequoia has launched Superpower for its own 800-plus employees and that the product is now available to eligible employers across Sequoia's ecosystem of more than 2,500 companies.

Sequoia is the strategic advisory and technology platform that calls itself the Total People Investment Company. It helps investor-backed companies manage compensation, benefits and people spending, has been in business for more than 25 years and serves more than 2,500 clients. It is separate from venture capital firm Sequoia Capital.

For Sequoia team members enrolled in a Sequoia medical plan, the [partnership page](https://superpower.com/sequoia) offers a complimentary benefit with one baseline blood test covering more than 100 biomarkers, a personalized protocol, access to Superpower's Medical AI Advocate and round-the-clock clinical-team access. The page says the service would otherwise cost more than $10,000, with results typically arriving in five to 10 business days.

Christina Sullivan, Sequoia's chief client officer, said offering the service internally will allow the company to assess the experience firsthand and help clients decide whether it belongs in a broader preventive-health strategy. Marchione said the partnership gives Superpower a way to bring its model to employers, beginning with Sequoia's own staff.

Superpower's broader offering for organizations starts with more than 100 lab tests, personalized reports that include biological-age calculations and 24/7 care-team access. It also supports HRIS integration through an API or 834 files.

Founded in early 2023, Superpower is based in Los Angeles. According to TipRanks, the company has raised more than $40 million, including a Series A led by Forerunner Ventures.
