Maverick Capital, Coatue, Audacious, Alumni Ventures, Greylock and Lightspeed Venture Partners also participated. The company is positioning its CRM as a “world model” of a business that people and software agents can use. More than 5,000 companies have signed up since Lightfield launched in November 2025, Peiris said. He also said the product is replacing legacy CRM systems at organizations with hundreds of users. Lightfield says its product updates customer records using calls, email, meetings and Slack threads. Peiris said Salesforce was built more than 20 years ago for people to update records and was not designed for agents. He said agents produce poor results when the underlying data is incomplete, inaccurate or lacks the structure they need. The company says its software finds prospects resembling a customer’s best accounts and books meetings with them. It also captures commitments from conversations, automates follow-ups and identifies weaknesses in sales funnels. Andreessen Horowitz partners Alex Rampell and Joe Schmidt IV led the round, according to Peiris. Schmidt said Lightfield earned the trust of thousands of companies in under a year to hold the data that runs their businesses. Lightfield has about 40 employees and plans to hire in sales and engineering, Peiris told Upstarts Media. Peiris and cofounder Henri Liriani previously built Tome, an AI presentation product that reached 25 million users and raised $80 million. They later shifted into CRM and reduced headcount from 70 to 7. Lightfield did not disclose annual recurring revenue but said its net dollar retention was 400%.
