# Baba hires Alan Li as founding designer

[Baba](https://callbaba.com) has hired Alan Li as founding designer. Li spent more than 3.5 years at Ramp as a Staff Product Designer, and Baba announced the hire in a post on X.

Baba said Li's career includes work across companies and roles, as well as running a design agency. The company did not detail Li's responsibilities at Baba or a start date.

The hire comes as Baba builds out founding roles. Baba Care, Inc. has an active Ashby posting for a founding product designer.

Baba emerged from stealth in February 2026 with $6.5 million in seed funding led by General Catalyst. Founder and CEO Connor Sweeney has said the company was motivated by his family's experience navigating his grandmother's stroke recovery.

The company pairs older adults with human advocates, typically nurses or social workers, and AI tools for insurance appeals, medication reminders, appointment scheduling and care coordination. The company said its service is covered by Medicare and Medicare Advantage and that patients pay out of pocket only about 2% of the time.

As of its February 2026 announcement, Baba said it had supported more than 6,000 families since launching in early 2025. In June 2026, Baba said it was selected as one of roughly 150 organizations nationwide for the CMS Innovation Center's 10-year ACCESS Model, which launches July 5, 2026, and will operate across all four clinical tracks.
