Property Wheel said the deal fits Rode’s strategy to combine market data, research and analysis with industry news and insights. Rode’s products include the quarterly Rode Report on the South African property market, the Rode Retail Report, Rode Property Trends, and Rode Time Series Pro and Lite data tools. Its platform also publishes free news on industrial, retail, office and residential property.

Rode Publications & Media was re-established as a standalone entity in 2024. It carries forward the market-research and intelligence business, including the Rode Report, that had operated under Rode & Associates Property Consultants and Valuers, founded in 1987.

In February 2025, Rode Publications & Media completed a strategic investment from REdimension Capital’s REdimension Real Estate Technology and Sustainability Fund I to enhance its data platform. Rode said at the time that the investment would support growth and the development of an intelligence platform.

Property Wheel is headquartered in Gardens, Cape Town. It operates as a South African real estate information hub with property news, job listings, real estate listings, transaction data and industry events, according to its company profile.

Rode Publications & Media won Property News Website of the Year at the SAPOA Excellence in Property Journalism Awards 2025. Real Estate Investor Magazine was runner-up in the same category.
