[Subscription System](https://www.joeyoungblood.com/) has released a free WordPress plugin after about a year of testing and revisions with testers. Joe Youngblood announced the release in a post on X, saying the plugin has no ads or clutter.

The plugin lets publishers turn WordPress content into customizable email subscriptions based on categories and tags. Publishers can offer free and paid tiers, while readers can control their subscription preferences, according to a press release.

The listing showed version 1.0.24, fewer than 10 active installations and a September 18, 2026, last-updated date. Its changelog says the plugin uses Stripe for content-subscription checkout, webhook handling and automatic renewal.

A version 1.1.0 changelog entry also documents a security fix for authorization on subscriber self-service pause and resume actions. Those controls apply to content-subscription billing.
