The signing ceremony involved Patrick Frith, Tarabut’s chief strategy officer, and Abdulaziz AlHumaidi, BSF’s director of digital banking delivery. The post referred to Tarabut’s open-banking offering but is cut off after “Through Tarabut’s Open Banking,” so the scope and deliverables are not stated. Banque Saudi Fransi’s official news page does not list the collaboration among its published news items. On September 9, Tarabut announced US$50 million, or SAR 187 million, in strategic financing to deepen its focus on Saudi Arabia’s embedded finance market. The financing is backed by Riyad Bank, the X-Tech Fund managed by SAB Invest, GIB Saudi Arabia, Zamil Group and Kanoo Ventures, and remains subject to Saudi Central Bank approval. Tarabut says it has processed more than 5 billion API calls across the region. The Manama, Bahrain-headquartered company describes itself as a regulated financial technology platform connecting banks, fintechs, businesses and consumers through open-finance APIs, embedded financial journeys, real-time data intelligence and payment services across Bahrain, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Tarabut previously announced a partnership with BSF on June 5, 2022, alongside Riyad Bank, SABB and Alinma Bank, before Saudi Arabia’s open-banking launch.
