# Xiaomi MiMo releases MiMo-V2.6 Pro and Flash

[Xiaomi MiMo](https://xiaomi.com) introduced MiMo-V2.6 Pro and Flash, two omnimodal models developed through scaled reinforcement learning, in a post on X. Xiaomi says Pro performs on par with Claude Opus 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol across most agent benchmarks.

The company’s [product page](https://mimo.mi.com/models/en-US/mimo-v2.6-pro) says Pro accepts text, image, video and audio input, produces text output, has a 1 million-token context window and a maximum output of 128,000 tokens. It also says Pro scores 46.32 on Artificial Analysis’ Intelligence Index and calls it “the world's strongest open-source model today.”

Xiaomi’s [Hugging Face organization page](https://huggingface.co/XiaomiMiMo) lists MiMo-V2.6-Pro-RL, MiMo-V2.6-Flash-RL and MiMo-V2.6-Distill-Qwen-9B as downloadable repositories updated within the last day. That page lists MiMo-V2.6-Pro-RL at 524 billion parameters and MiMo-V2.6-Flash-RL at 159 billion.

VentureBeat reported different figures: Pro has 1.02 trillion total parameters, with 42 billion active during inference, while Flash has 310 billion total parameters and 15 billion active during inference. It reported that both are under an MIT license.

VentureBeat reported API pricing of $0.435 per million input tokens and $0.87 per million output tokens for Pro. Flash is priced at $0.14 per million input tokens and $0.28 per million output tokens, according to the report.

MiMo began with MiMo-7B, Xiaomi’s first open-source large language model, released April 30–May 2, 2025 and focused on reasoning and code generation. Xiaomi claimed it outperformed OpenAI’s o1-mini and Alibaba’s Qwen-32B-Preview on AIME math and LiveCodeBench coding benchmarks. Before Pro and Flash, the family included MiMo-7B variants, MiMo-VL-7B and MiMo-Audio-7B, released under Apache 2.0 or MIT licenses.

MiMo competes with Chinese open-weight AI developers including DeepSeek, Alibaba’s Qwen and Moonshot AI. Xiaomi founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun said March 19–20 that the company will invest more than 60 billion yuan, about US$8.7 billion, in AI over the next three years.
