[nocall](https://nocall.ai) has completed a Series A of about ¥800 million, taking its cumulative funding to more than ¥1 billion. The Tokyo company announced the financing in a post on X and said it will use the proceeds to strengthen hiring and product development.

JAFCO and Archetype Ventures jointly led the round, while existing investor Coreline Ventures also participated, according to the [company announcement](https://prtimes.jp/main/html/rd/p/000000034.000076585.html). nocall did not disclose its valuation, ownership stakes, customer count or a hiring target.

The funding comes as nocall seeks to increase use of generative-AI telephone systems in Japan. The company says Japanese businesses still rely on people for much of their phone work because natural Japanese conversational cues, including backchannel responses and pauses, are difficult to handle, and companies require consistent response quality.

nocall.ai supports outbound business calls and inbound-call handling. Its system uses speech recognition, large-language-model processing and speech synthesis. nocall said MOTA cut its same-day cancellation rate for appraisal-reservation confirmation calls from about 15% to 5.7% after automating them. It also said Raccoon Financial increased payment-promise acquisition in collection work by three to four times after replacing robocalls.

Headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, nocall started providing its generative-AI telephone service at the end of 2023. The company was founded on Dec. 25, 2020 by co-founder and CEO Shogo Hayashi and co-founder and COO Maito Abe.

Before the Series A, nocall announced a December 2025 third-party allotment financing from Coreline Ventures to strengthen engineering hiring, without disclosing the amount. In July 2026, it began accepting a waiting list for a closed beta of nocall.API, which it says lets customers add AI calling, conversation and result-sharing functions to their own products or business systems.
