Maverick Silicon and Light Street Capital co-led the round, with NVIDIA joining as an investor. The financing backs iPronics’ effort to scale optical networking for AI data centers. Its [iPronics ONE platform](https://ipronics.com/product/) is a rack-mounted optical circuit-switching system with a scalable, non-blocking architecture supporting more than 32 ports. The company says ONE can reconfigure its optical connections in less than a millisecond. The platform also includes integrated telemetry and software-control APIs. iPronics is scaling ONE production through a dedicated Fabrinet line for packaging, assembly, testing and qualification of its silicon-photonic switching systems. In 2025, iPronics and Lumentum were named co-leaders of the [Open Compute Project’s Optical Circuit Switching subproject](https://www.opencompute.org/index.php/blog/the-open-compute-project-announces-new-optical-circuit-switching-ocs-project). Initial participants included Coherent, Google, Lumotive, Microsoft, nEye, NVIDIA, Oriole Networks and POLATIS. The company had sold its earlier SmartLight programmable photonic processor to more than 20 customers by January 2025. That month, iPronics raised a €20 million Series A led by Triatomic Capital, with Fine Structure Ventures, Bosch Ventures, Amadeus Capital Partners and Criteria Venture Tech participating. In July 2022, the company raised €3.7 million in an investment led by Amadeus Capital Partners, with Caixa Capital Risc participating. Amadeus Capital Partners said co-founder Iñaki Berenguer had previously provided €1 million. The Universitat Politècnica de València launched iPronics as a spin-off in December 2019.
