# Flux ships cloud MCP server for AI agents

[Flux](https://runonflux.com) has shipped a cloud Model Context Protocol server that lets an AI agent deploy workloads on its network, co-founder Tadeas Kmenta said in a post on X. The server gives an agent around 15 tools, including functions for specification building, validation, pricing and deployment.

The endpoint, [mcp.runonflux.com](https://mcp.runonflux.com), is a remote MCP server, version 0.2.2, available through a stateless Streamable HTTP connection at `POST /mcp`. It is aimed at operators using AI coding and agent tools to move from a plain-language application description to a deployment.

The server can generate a two-key identity pair. One key covers ownership and deployment, while the payment address must be funded before a deployment can proceed. Flux says no account is required.

A local stdio version is published in the [Flux Cloud MCP GitHub repository](https://github.com/RunOnFlux/flux-cloud-mcp). Its 15 named tools cover identity, pricing, specification building and validation, deployment, monitoring and cancellation. They include functions to quote and deploy an app, wait for it to start, retrieve logs and statistics, control it and cancel it.

Pricing is quoted in U.S. dollars at the same price charged on home.runonflux.io, then converted to FLUX at the live market rate, according to a Glama listing. The listing says payment in FLUX receives a 5 percent discount and describes the server as compatible with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, OpenCode and other MCP hosts.

Flux began in 2018 as Zel and was incorporated in 2019 as Zel Technologies Limited before rebranding to InFlux Technologies in late 2022. The company describes FluxCloud as its decentralized computing offering. Flux says its network had 6,623 nodes in 67 countries as of May 2026, with 54.1K CPU cores, 186TB of RAM and 3PB of SSD storage.
